The Classic Greek Liqueur
Strong spirit combination with the unique Greek aroma of mastic. It is served cold or at room temperature but usually with ice. Both turn white when poured over ice or mixed with water, and form small crystals when frozen. They are served with various appetisers such as octopus, salad, sardines, calamari, fried zucchini, and clams.
Characteristics: Produced from the resin of the mastic tree from the island of Chios. It has the sweet flavors of unflavored raw gum. Use of the mastic resin dates back to the 5th century B.C.
Alcohol: 30% by volume
